  13. I have an external SCSI CD-ROM connected to my A3000 with WB2.1. I started using the XETEC driver.

  15. Mine also will not boot if there is no disk in the drive. For this reason I do not automatically load the CD driver (ie don't put it in the startup directory) - I load it manually only when I need to use the CD. I have read in some of the docs that this is normal behaviour.

  17. I have since changed to the Public Domain AMICDFS (I think) off AMINET or Fred Fish CD. This reads more disk types than the Xetec driver.

  19. Neither of the drivers used chip ram like yours. When reading a large directory, like mods, my Amiga takes a long time but eventually gets there. It will get there quicker if you set the parent directory to display file names rather than icons.

  21. Both drivers support auto diskchange.

  23. I suggest changing to the PD driver.
